In 2011, my sister was hospitalized for her bipolar disorder. In 2012, she was deemed incapacitated and appointed a guardian, who discharged her and placed her in a group home. Between the final months of Sarah's hospital stay, and her early months at the group home, I was not allowed to see her. These pictures were taken the day we saw each other for the first time in nine months.
